The weekend just passed, I went to lovely Devon. Very nice to be back down there and made me realise how much I miss it. We celebrated my gorgeous friend's equally gorgeous daughters Christening and had a good catch up.

Everything is covered in frost! What a wonderful excuse to treat yourself to a nice, new warm coat! I created these two illustrations for Em at Make Lemonade for a feature she has written on coats, interview with Amy Bannerman for Cellardoor magazine. I'll let you know when the feature is up! The Wellcome Collection is on Euston Road in London, for the curiously curious. Fascinating stuff to do with medics and history of medics, love it. Even did a little doodle based on sleep, pills and bottles.

My weekend off, I explored Marylebone and around Oxford Street. There is so much to do and see, my aim - when I am not selling cake - is to go on a little adventure to a new gallery/area/place/ park or whatever with my camera. One college project long ago I was given the word 'Derive', 2 days and a whole heap of different fonts to play with creating text sheets and the final outcome, books, a cunning way of combining how to bind books with how to layout the content. It was my favourite project.

Ah the first signs of summer and all I want to do is lie in the sun all day, the top quote from Slyvia Plath is thanks to my lovely friend Clare, I saw the quote on one of her artworks and I felt the need to type it out and stick it on my wall where I can see it everyday, the shoddy scribblings next to it is my to do list for this month, lots to look forward to. Below are a few of the birdcage necklaces I am making to sell at two events at the end of the month, there is more on the way.

Mother and I went on a day trip to London yesterday to see the Sketchbook shop in Carnaby and did a lot of walking as it was such a lovely day. Now to enjoy the good weather of today!

Donya, Lala and myself had the 'Garden room' - lots of green and bushes going from daytime to nighttime over the four walls. It was lots of fun and hope to do it again. A week late but I have been away helping with the Sketchbook Pop-up shop - which is lush. As promised here is what I was working on last week, the lining for a coffin, in the shape of an egg. I sat and stared it for a long, long time. Luckily mother came up with a good idea which worked - and she is damn good on a sewing machine.

It's all been a bit busy recently hense lack of blogging activity. Not long until the Sketchbook pop-up exhibition, very exciting, Donya, Lala and myself are painting one of the basement rooms with 'garden' as the theme, lots of trees, flowers, 3d bushes, birds nests and treasures.

Since my last post I have been to Stockholm with Abi, Clare and Sian, it went far too quickly for my liking. We found this great place in Kulturhuset called Lava where 13 - 25 year olds can use facilities such as iron-on transfers on to bags and tshirts, make books, design and make their own clothes and more. Kärlek means love in Swedish.

The work here is for an event on 22/02/2010 where there will be free gobstoppers and lollies, so you really have no excuse to not go if you're around there.
